CDPHP Honors 'Terrific 25'

CDPHP recently celebrated its 25th anniversary by recognizing the dedicated public service and generosity of 25 individuals and community organizations whose extraordinary efforts have made the Capital Region – and the world – a better place.  A reception honoring this group – dubbed the CDPHP ‘Terrific 25’ – was held at the Fort Orange Club in Albany on June 11, 2009.

Since our organization’s founding – by Dr. Jack Carter and a core group of physicians dedicated to improving health care delivery in the region – CDPHP has demonstrated its commitment to the communities it serves, touching the lives of countless people and supporting a host of worthwhile programs and organizations. Our silver anniversary seemed a fitting occasion to honor those who have modeled that same spirit of sustained generosity and stewardship and, in the process, contributed to the vibrancy of our community.

Radio Disney and CDPHP Move It!

This fall, CDPHP and Radio Disney AM 1460 will launch the fourth year of the dynamic and fun Move It! Program at Capital Region schools. Move It! is a motivational physical fitness program designed to drive home the message to children in grades K-6 to stay active, eat smart, and have fun. The program’s goal is to combat the rising childhood obesity epidemic.

A 45-minute high-energy school program will get your school movin’ and shakin’ and ready to get fit!  Each student receives a CDPHP jump rope and pledge card along with personal activity charts, and the school will receive wall charts to keep track of the progress made by each class.
