Secure Access to Patient Prescription History

You can now get access to prescription history through the Controlled Substance Information (CSI) on Dispensed Prescriptions program offered by the New York State Department of Health’s Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement.

A secure NYS Department of Health website offers 24-hour-access through a physician’s Health Commerce System (HCS) account. Once logged in,  you can look up a patient and get a report if the patient has received controlled substance prescriptions from two or more physicians and filled them at two or more pharmacies during the previous calendar month. If the patient does not appear in the program, a statement will let you know that.
