Our Mission
We provide quality health care at a reasonable cost for our subscribers and operate CDPHP as a model for the delivery, financing, and administration of health care services.
Our Record
With a mission to set the standard as a health value company, CDPHP has earned several awards and accolades:
- CDPHP was featured in the cover story of the February 2008 issue of Managed Healthcare Executive. Within it, Dr. Cromie speaks to our mission to remain physician-directed and true to our physician roots, while successfully running a health plan.
- The CDPHP Medicaid plan, Select Plan, was rated 4th in the country and highest in New York State in a collaborative report entitled U.S. News & World Report/NCQA “America’s Best Health Plans 2007®.” The same report ranked the CDPHP commercial HMO and Medicare Choice plans among the top 25 in the nation. Scoring was based on several factors including clinical quality, member satisfaction, and NCQA accreditation scores.
- In a 2007 report card, the New York State Health Accountability Foundation (NYSHAF) reaffirmed the CDPHP HMO as the top-rated health plan in New York State. In addition, members rated CDPHP highest in New York for customer service.
- And for the second consecutive year, Health Industries Research Companies (HIRC) recognized CDPHP as offering the best disease management program in upstate New York. CDPHP was the only health plan in the Capital Region to receive this award, with no other health plans north of New York City or east of Buffalo recognized. Less than six percent of the U.S. health plans profiled in this report are honored consecutively.

Our Plan for Life
We offer a range of choices of comprehensive benefit packages to accommodate member needs, including routine care, check-ups, prenatal and post-natal care, mammography, and childhood immunizations.
Additionally, CDPHP members are invited to attend free wellness programs, such as yoga, nutrition and stress management, designed to encourage a healthier lifestyle. It's all part of our plan for life.
