CDPHP Medicare Choices Group Plans 2009 Benefit Enhancements
Effective January 1, 2009, enhanced benefits for the Group HMO/PPO products within the CDPHP Medicare Choices platform include:
- Small groups have an Rx option with no coverage gap (i.e., no donut hole).
- Annual out-of-packet maximums on covered medical benefits.
- Elimination of the copay for preventive bone mass screenings.
- A $200 maximum member responsibility per line item for any one DME or prosthetic device.
- Preventive dental allowance of $150 per year.
- CDPHP Senior FitSM, which provides no-cost access to the Capital District YMCA in addition to participating SilverSneakers® locations.
Medicare Training/Compensation Standards
CDPHP® has training standards for all Medicare brokers and agents. Your compensation beginning with 2009 sales of all group HMO and PPO products within the CDPHP Medicare Choices platform depends upon successful completion of training on an annual basis.
