Regular medical checkups are an important part of staying healthy. CDPHP encourages members to take advantage of a comprehensive range of preventive health benefits to safeguard your health and your family's.
The preventive services include an annual adult physical, annual gynecological/well-women exams, mammograms, cervical cytology screenings, prostatic cancer screenings, well-child exams, and essential childhood and adult immunizations.
Preventive Health Guidelines
The health guideline charts indicate the screening procedure that CDPHP recommends and covers for each age. A committee of CDPHP physicians compiled this schedule based on an extensive review of current medical literature. Talk to your health care provider about receiving the tests appropriate for your age, state of health and medical history.
Preventive health checkups are available at no charge to members of all CDPHP commercial product lines: HMO, EPO, PPO High Deductible PPO, and POS. Please check your member benefits materials for detailed information on these benefits.
Seasonal Flu Resources
The flu is a contagious respiratory illness caused by influenza viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. The best way to prevent the flu is by getting a flu vaccination each year. Check with your health care provider about receiving an annual flu vaccine.
