Health Care FSA
To make it easy to pay for eligible medical expenses such as prescriptions, copayments, or visits that occur before you have fulfilled your deductible, you may receive a health FSA debit card. Use it for IRS qualified expenses, and always save your receipts for substantiation. Services must be rendered prior to submitting a claim.
Dependent Care FSA
A debit card will not be issued for a dependent care FSA. You will need to pay for expenses, such as daycare and babysitters that allow you to work, out of pocket and then file a claim to recoup payment. Unlike the health care FSA, you will need to have these funds saved up in your account before you can use them.
