Get Comprehensive Coverage and More from CDPHP

A health insurance exchange, also known as a marketplace, is an organized resource designed to help people purchase and enroll in health insurance coverage. In New York, there are two separate marketplaces: the Individual Marketplace, which is open to individuals and their families, and the Small Business Marketplace, open to small groups with two to 50 members. Both marketplaces help consumers compare health insurance options, calculate costs, and select coverage online, in person, over the phone, or by mail.

Small Business Marketplace
The Small Business Marketplace is optional, and employers can still obtain their insurance coverage off the Marketplace through CDPHP.

It is expected that in 2016, the Small Business Marketplace will be open to businesses with 100 or fewer employees.

  • There will be a selection of health plans at a variety of price points and coverage levels available.
  • CDPHP will offer both standard and nonstandard plans at all levels.
  • Employers will be able to choose the effective date of coverage.
  • Employers can set a fixed amount to contribute toward employee coverage and give employees a choice of plans to apply the amount toward.
