Valera Health gives you access to the mental health services and treatment you need to stay well. Getting started is as simple as scheduling a meeting with a Valera health coach.

Valera Health’s providers have a broad range of specialties and offer culturally-competent care. They can help address concerns related to mood and anxiety, LGBTQ-related issues, women’s issues, and pediatric psychiatry.

Who can access Valera Health?

Telemedicine services through Valera Health are available to all CDPHP members with no cost share during the coronavirus pandemic. Services are available for children, adolescents, and adults.

What kind of provider can I see?

Valera Health’s provider network includes a wide range of qualifications. Depending on your needs, you can see a:

  • Behavioral health coach

  • Licensed clinical social worker

  • Licensed mental health counselor

  • Nurse practitioner

  • Psychiatrist

How do I get started?

Visit the Valera Health website and request a free phone consultation with a health coach, who will:

  • Conduct a short assessment to understand your needs

  • Book an initial session with the right provider

  • Get you started with the Valera Health app

On the day of your scheduled appointment, your provider will reach out to you through a video call or the telephone - whichever preference you confirmed with the health coach.

How soon can I get connected?

From Valera Health’s website, you can schedule your initial consultation with a health coach immediately. Typically, patients are able to connect with their provider within one week.

What if I don’t want to use the Valera Health app?

That’s okay! The Valera Health app makes it easier to have video and chat sessions, receive educational materials, and connect with your provider. However, it is not mandatory. If you are not able to download the app, or do not have a smartphone, you can still receive telehealth services through web-based video or telephone call.
