The best way to prevent illness is to avoid being exposed to this virus.
COVID-19 spreads mainly from person-to-person. CDPHP is encouraging members to follow guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to prevent the spread of illness.
Please call your doctor if you:

Develop a fever;

Have symptoms of respiratory illness, such as a cough, shortness of breath, or difficulty breathing;

Have been in close contact with someone known to have coronavirus, or if you live in or have recently traveled to an area with ongoing spread.
If you develop emergency warning signs for COVID-19, seek medical attention immediately.

Sick individuals should not leave their home unless to receive medical care and only after talking with a doctor in-person or via a telemedicine visit.
