ALBANY, N.Y. – July 3, 2014 – Three outstanding physicians were recently inducted into the CDPHP® Physicians’ Academy™ in recognition of their commitment to improving health care in our community. The honorees include: Dr. Augustin “Gus” DeLago, Dr. John A. Nolan, and Dr. Jennifer M. Pearce.

“This year’s inductees are true innovators in their fields. They are well-respected mentors and teachers who have made tremendous contributions to medicine in the Capital Region,” said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO, CDPHP. “As CDPHP celebrates its 30th year as a physician-guided health plan, it is our pleasure to recognize and celebrate the work being done by local physicians who strive to provide the best care in our communities.”

Created in 2004, the CDPHP Physicians’ Academy recognizes extraordinary network physicians who are nominated by their peers and selected by an esteemed panel of CDPHP Board and Physicians’ Academy members. The honorees are selected for their delivery of high-quality care, development and observance of best practices, and their willingness to mentor colleagues and staff.

Since the Academy’s inception, and under the leadership of its dean, Anthony Tartaglia, MD, CDPHP has inducted more than three dozen physicians from a variety of specialties.
