CDPHP Ranks Highest in J.D. Power Member Satisfaction Study

ALBANY, N.Y. – August 1, 2017 – CDPHP is pleased to announce the results of the J.D. Power 2017 Member Health Plan Study, in which CDPHP ranked the Highest in Member Satisfaction among Commercial Health Plans in New York. This prestigious award measures member satisfaction among 168 health plans in 22 regions around the country.

“At CDPHP, member satisfaction is true obsession,” said CDPHP president and CEO, Dr. John Bennett. “Each and every day, our employees have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of some 400,000 people. What an honor! I am extraordinarily proud of the work we do, and I am humbled by this wonderful recognition,” added Bennett.

The study examined customer satisfaction in the following areas:

  • Coverage and benefits
  • Provider choice
  • Information and communication
  • Claims processing
  • Cost
  • Customer service

The J.D. Power study showed care coordination and provider choice/access were very important to those surveyed. These are unique skillsets to CDPHP, as the health plan was founded by local doctors in 1984. More than 30 years later, CDPHP continues to be guided by local physicians, as 8 of its 15 member board are local, practicing physicians.
