ALBANY, N.Y. – April 28, 2020 – CDPHP is expanding access to a virtual tool to help the community combat coronavirus (COVID-19). The Brook Personal Health Companion – a smartphone app originally designed to help CDPHP members manage diabetes – is now being offered to members and non-members alike for free support throughout the duration of the COVID-19 crisis.
CDPHP is partnering with Brook to provide support in the following areas:

“Our number one priority is preventing the spread of this disease,” said CDPHP president and CEO, Dr. John D. Bennett. “By offering this free resource to the entire community, we are hopeful we can not only bend the curve but help those in need,” added Bennett.

In addition to the expansion of Brook, CDPHP has also waived cost-share for all COVID-19 testing and treatment; has expanded new, no-cost access to telemedicine services through ER Anywhere and Doctor on Demand; and has removed prior authorization for all medical and behavioral health care services.
