ALBANY, N.Y. – Dec 6, 2022 – CDPHP The Foundation today announced that since its inception five years ago in 2017, more than $1 million has been raised in support of not-for-profit organizations in our community.

CDPHP The Foundation was CDPHP President and CEO Dr. John Bennett’s longtime vision – a philanthropic arm focused on addressing the most fundamental needs of our community. CDPHP The Foundation has since tackled the addiction and mental health crises, food and housing insecurity, and so much more.

“I am immensely proud to announce that in just five short years, not only has CDPHP The Foundation made a resounding impact on our community, but that we’ve raised $1 million to continue supporting organizations that are doing life-saving work,” said John D. Bennett, MD, president and CEO of CDPHP. “As folks consider organizations to give to this holiday season, I would encourage you to keep CDPHP The Foundation in mind.”

“Since 2019, CDPHP The Foundation has been the designated charity of the Twin Bridges Championship of the LPGA Epson Tour, raising $115,000 and supporting the goals and dreams of professional female golfers from all over the globe,” said Jimmy Miller, Tournament Director, Twin Bridges Championship. “I am proud that the tournament has been such a strong contributor to CDPHP The Foundation reaching the $1 million dollar mark announced today, and I look forward to continuing this rewarding partnership for years to come.”

“Due to the generous gift from CDPHP The Foundation, the Baywood Center and the YMCA of the Greater Glens Falls Area have been able to provide those taking the steps toward recovery with additional support and coping skills through no-cost gym memberships,” said Jackie Foster, Director of Outpatient Services, Peter Young Housing Industries and Treatment, Inc. “Recovery is a mental, physical, and social process. The opportunity to engage socially while working out and forming new habits can build a lifelong defense against the disease of addiction.”

“CDPHP The Foundation is much more than a funder; they are true partner who works in unison with organizations to maximize our collective capacity to help our citizens and community as a whole realize its true potential,” said Mark Eagan, President and CEO, Capital Region Chamber.
