Ricardo Estremera, Karen Bertasso Hughes Top Male and Female Runners
ALBANY, N.Y. – May 18, 2023 – It was a beautiful spring evening in downtown Albany as nearly 7,000 runners and walkers took to the streets for the CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge. On the men’s side, Ricardo Estremera with Questar III BOCES took home the win with an unbelievable time of 16:51. The top female runner, Karen Bertasso Hughes with the Department of Veterans Affairs, achieved a new course PR at 20:14. Congratulations to all of the runners!

Rotterdam Community Center Receives Important Donations
Each year, the race serves as a fundraiser for a local charity, designated the race’s charity of choice. Participant donations totaled nearly $13,000 for Rotterdam Community Center in Rotterdam, NY!
The CDPHP Workforce Team Challenge is organized by the Hudson-Mohawk Road Runners Club (HMRRC). In addition to raising funds for local charities, the race also helps to fund HMRRC’s youth running programs, college scholarships, grants, and free running programs.
