Among this year’s honorees, Dr. Alexander S. Ford, DO, RD, is receiving the prestigious CDPHP Top Doctors Peabody Award, a special distinction awarded to select health care providers who embody the highest ideals of patient care.
A native of Albany, NY, Dr. Ford is both a physician and a registered dietitian who works at Community Care Physicians – CapitalCare Family Practice Rotterdam. His holistic approach to care emphasizes nutrition, prevention, and education, particularly in addressing health disparities within underserved communities. Known for his compassionate bedside manner and dedication to patient-centered care, Dr. Ford also volunteers as the Director of Medical Education at 4th Family, a local not-for-profit empowering at-risk youth.
Top Pediatric Practice
Glens Falls Pediatric Consultants is being honored as this year’s top pediatric practice. Known for its extended office hours – which includes appointments on evenings, weekends, and holidays – Glens Falls Pediatric Consultants has been caring for children and adolescents in its Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs offices for more than 40 years. The practice earned its place as the top-performing pediatric practice based on our health plan’s rigorous quality measures, including annual wellness visits, immunizations, and chronic disease management, as well as patient satisfaction metrics like appointment availability, wait times, and patients’ likelihood to recommend the practice.
Top Adult and Family Medicine Practice
Riverside Medical in Green Island, NY, is being honored as this year’s top adult and family medicine practices. Led by Dr. Victoria Angert, who has cared for local families for more than 25 years, Riverside Medical is known for its warm, approachable style to patient care. That personal touch is paired with outstanding performance in preventive screenings, chronic disease management, and patient safety measures. Part of St. Peter’s Health Partners Medical Associates, Riverside Medical connects patients to wellness programs, education, and community resources, making health care accessible for all.
The 2025 CDPHP Top Doctors report includes 40 adult and family medicine practices and 10 pediatric practices across the Capital Region. These practices were selected based on comprehensive performance metrics and patient satisfaction scores.
