Managed Care Pharmacy Residency Program
The CDPHP managed care pharmacy residency program provides a unique opportunity to engage in the advancement of the Triple Aim (patient experience, effectiveness and efficiency) with a nationally ranked health plan, recognized as an innovator in practice transformation and payment reform in the development and support of patient-centered care in medical home practices and the medical neighborhood.
Upon completion of the program, residents will have a thorough understanding and a demonstrated expertise in the field of managed care pharmacy practice.
Experiences will emphasize the Triple Aim, as defined by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement (IHI) to improve: the patient experience of care (including quality and satisfaction); population health; and cost efficiency per capita.
The resident will be knowledgeable regarding the myriad of aspects that impact health care and the changing face of managed care. In addition to enhanced clinical practice experience, the resident will possess excellent written and verbal skills, and effectively demonstrate the ability to provide appropriate therapeutic recommendations to other health care professionals within an interdisciplinary care team.
