A New Headquarters to Support Integrated Care
In June of 2024, we officially opened Wellness Way, our new headquarters with our partners at Community Care Physicians (CCP). This move furthers our integrated approach to health care by providing a modern space where we can better support providers, members, and of course, our employees, and is also a significant downsizing of our real estate footprint. More than just a building, Wellness Way is a symbol of our commitment to our community delivering coordinated care that is convenient, efficient, and centered around patient needs.
2024 Top Doctors
Choosing the right doctor is one of the most important decisions our members will make. The 2024 CDPHP Top Doctors report is a carefully curated list of local physicians who have met our health plan’s rigorous standards for quality, safety, and patient satisfaction. Meet the top-performing pediatric, adult medicine, and patients’ choice physicians here.
Courage to Care: Addressing the Opioid Epidemic
In response to the ongoing opioid epidemic, CDPHP launched Courage to Care in March 2024—a groundbreaking campaign aimed at increasing access to medication-assisted treatment (MAT). This initiative was launched in partnership with CCP and Congressman Paul Tonko, following the passage of federal legislation he championed that expanded access to MAT.
To support this effort, CDPHP incentivized primary care providers to deliver MAT services, which are proven to help individuals with opioid use disorder (OUD) recover and live healthy, productive lives. Currently, only 1 in 5 patients with OUD receives medication for their condition. As a result of this initiative, CDPHP saw a 25% increase in MAT prescriptions year-over-year and successfully trained more providers and offered CME opportunities to support MAT delivery.
Community Education at 1785
In collaboration with specialty practices at 1785, CDPHP hosted four large-scale community education events. More than 1,300 people participated both in-person and virtually, learning about topics such as chronic sinusitis, colorectal cancer, and advancements in diagnostic imaging.
Additionally, CDPHP, in collaboration with the Red Cross of Northeastern New York, held two full-capacity blood drives and a series of warm-touch Medicare outreach events at this location, reinforcing our role as a trusted community partner.
