Prescription Delivery by Mail
If you have prescription drug coverage through CDPHP, many medications taken on a regular basis can be mailed directly to your home with no charge for standard delivery.
What medications can be delivered
-
Most maintenance medications are available for delivery, including those taken regularly for chronic or long-term conditions, such as heart disease, high blood pressure, asthma, or diabetes.
-
Certain diabetic supplies may also be available through mail order.
-
When you use the mail order service, you’ll receive your prescription(s) in 90-day supplies, so this service can only be used for medications you take regularly.
-
For short-term medications, such as an antibiotic, use a retail pharmacy in your plan’s network, such as ConnectRx.
-
To learn more about which medications can be filled through this service, call the pharmacy phone number on the back of your CDPHP member ID card.
Mail order pharmacy options
As a CDPHP member, you have even more choice with your pharmacy benefit! Choose from either Walmart Mail Order Pharmacy or Costco Mail Order Pharmacy (Costco membership not required) as your mail order provider.

EPIC (Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage) and mail order
Walmart Mail Order Pharmacy and Costco are not yet approved by New York state for EPIC. If you have EPIC and would like to continue to receive the discount on prescriptions, you will need to switch to a different EPIC-approved retail pharmacy.
-
What pharmacy can I use? Members can use ConnectRx, Price Chopper/Market 32, Hannaford, Walgreens, Rite Aid, Kinney Drugs, Wegman’s, most independent pharmacies.
-
Will I still receive the EPIC discount at a different pharmacy? For EPIC, retail costs are higher than mail order costs, so you might pay more out-of-pocket when using a retail pharmacy.
-
How do I switch to a different pharmacy? Our pharmacy benefit manager, Capital Rx, will be calling members who have EPIC to help them transfer to a different pharmacy.
-
Will I be able to have my prescriptions delivered? Pharmacy delivery services and fees vary by pharmacy. This means not all pharmacy locations will deliver prescriptions and you may need to pick up a prescription at the pharmacy.
Switch to ConnectRx to receive the EPIC mail order discount!
