Currently use Optum Home Delivery?
Since Wegmans is replacing Optum Home Delivery, you’ll need set up your account with this new pharmacy. We are here to make this transition as easy as possible!
Step 1: CDPHP will make sure all available refills at Optum will be transferred to Wegmans for members to begin filling August 4. No need for you to get a new prescription from your doctor, unless you are out of refills.
Step 2: Beginning August 4, members currently using Optum Home Delivery can call Wegmans Mail Order Pharmacy at 1-844-328-2550. Please time your call to be 10 days before you need your next medication. Be sure to have your insurance card, list of prescriptions (or bottles), and credit card ready.
Helpful tip! Calling Wegmans too early may lead to delays. Wait until after August 4 and time your call to be 10 days before you need your next medication.
Additional details:
When you call Wegmans, you’ll confirm your medication history and contact information, plus provide payment. After your first order is filled, you’ll be able to manage your prescriptions online.
If you need your medication before August 15, please refill through Optum Home Delivery by July 31. This will ensure you have the medication(s) you need during the transition. After that, please contact Wegmans the next time you need your medication refilled.
If you are out of refills, you will need to get a new prescription from your provider and have it sent to Wegmans.
After July 31, CDPHP members will no longer be able to use Optum Home Delivery.
Members currently using Optum Home Delivery will receive letters and emails with these details in early July.

Wegmans Mail Order Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Why is CDPHP switching to Wegmans Mail Order?
A: Optum Home Delivery’s contract as a participating provider in the CDPHP pharmacy network is ending effective August 1, 2025. As a result, Wegmans Mail Order will become the new mail order pharmacy for CDPHP on August 1.
Q: Why is the Optum contract ending? Why are they leaving the pharmacy network?
A: CDPHP contracts with CapitalRx IPA, Inc. for its pharmacy network and does not have insight into the negotiations that resulted in the termination of Optum’s participation in the CDPHP pharmacy network. It’s not unusual for doctors, pharmacies, and other health care providers to join or leave a health plan’s network. These changes happen from time to time for many reasons and are a normal part of the business.
Q: Who is Wegmans?

Q: Will I need new prescriptions from my doctor?
A: For non-controlled medications with refills, no, because Wegmans will be sent open refill information during this transition. If you have a controlled prescription, or if no refills remain/are expired, you will need to obtain a new prescription from your doctor.

A: These changes apply for all members who have mandatory mail order as part of their plan.
Q: Can Wegmans ship my medications anywhere in the country?
A: Yes! They will mail prescriptions anywhere in the United States.

A: Yes, Wegmans has a process to merge an old and new account.

A: Yes, most maintenance medications will be available in a 90-day supply — offering added convenience and potential cost savings depending on your plan.
